I’ve been thinking about going to get a Bikini wax. I don’t want a brazilian, just the sides so I can wear a bathing suit without the worry of having bumps or hair that I missed shaving exposed. The sides, its about a 5, the middle where you have the most hair is about a 8.
A bikini wax traditionally is about 2 inches on each side.
Its done in several smaller patches instead of one larger one on each side. It makes it hurt less. Its pulled off really fast. It will hurt for about 5 seconds. Then its over. The skin might be sore for a little while. Under 24 hours and slightly red as well.
Take an advil an hour before, its an anti-inflammatory, so it helps with the skin irritation as well as pain.
Either type of wax would be fine. There is also something in between a bikini and a Brazilian which is called a g- wax. Its more then a bikini, but not the entire area waxed. Its what fits under a g-string. Which you might want to try for your first time.
