Children Swim Suits: What are others asking? Is looking at swimming pictures on club websites considered child pornogprahy?
Eventhough I used to go on club websites dedicated to swimming, I have controlled myself a lot. Some of the pictures on these sites are not that bad, they show the different athletes competing in different swimming events, of course with their bathing suits on. Is that considered child pornography to look at these sites? I want everyone to know, I changed and I had aquaphilia at one time, and I still get the urge, but I am working hard in school and that is keeping me from giving in.
Well at first thought when I looked at the question I was going to say no. But if looking at kids in swim suits does get you excited then I would suggest going some other website.
I don’t believe you can be arressted for looking at those sites but that is something you must decide for yourself.
2 Piece Bathing Suits In Children’s Pageants?
My niece competes in pageants(if you have a strong bias about pageants please do not answer) and today we were trying to find a swim suit for a pageant coming up and she really wants to wear a 2 piece because she thinks they are “prettier” and “more sparkly” she expressed that she really wanted to wear a 2 piece this time. I am just a little bit uncomfortable with her on a stage in a two piece although the only people watching the pageant will be people with daughters or sons in the pageant. What is your opinion on two piece bathing suits? Do you think I should allow her to wear one?
Also she is 9, so not extremely young but not very old either
Not all two pieces are skimpy!I wore them all the time, even as a baby. Just choose one with full bottoms, kind of like Shorts.

Children’s Wetsuits Build Confidence In Little Swimmers!
Kids wetsuits not only help to keep children warm when swimming but also provide extra buoyancy to help build confidence. (However, they should not be considered a buoyancy aid.) Wetsuit materials are flexible and allow easy arm and leg movement while swimming. The popular ‘Shortie’ style wet suits are great for children swimming, diving and snorkeling. Full length childrens wetsuits are usually preferred by older children and for greater warmth, especially if you’re going to be in or on the water for longer periods. (We’ve discovered that junior dinghy sailors prefer the full length wetsuit as it also provides additional protection.)
A poorly fitted wetsuit will be too restrictive if small and impede arm and leg movement. As a simple test the wearer should be able to comfortably cross their arms over their chests without feeling too restricted.
Buying a large ‘grow into it’ size may seem practical but’ if too loose fitting, will allow the cold water to ‘flush’ through the suit and make the wearer uncomfortably cold.
Wetsuits for toddlers are especially useful, given that younger children can’t tell us when they’re just too cold to keep swimming! Given they also cover a large proportion of the child’s skin area they are also a great UV sun protector.
Baby wetsuits are becoming increasingly popular – they can be bought online from specialist suppliers such as born2becool in the UK. Top brands to look out for are Konfidence who offer a side-opening suit with easy to fit velcro fastenings – and Tiki who make the more traditional ‘shortie’ design for the little ones.
When purchasing make sure the suits are chlorine resistant and you should be able to swap suits easily to ensure you get a good fit for your child (watch out for our next article on ‘How to buy a kids wetsuit’ with some practical advice on fabrics, construction and even how to put on a wetsuit.)
As a plus point, many Mums have found that selling-on a suit that their child has grown out of is easily done to friends or other swim-club parents.
